Gathers some of what Julio Cortázar called "small grains of sand in the immense literary ocean"--his favorite writing by Borges, Capote, Hemingway, Onetti, Poe, Tolstoi, and others that continued to live in his memory in spite of time, and influence him as both as a reader and as a writer.
